Intro
Koppin Yarratt is a beautiful spot that is right in our backyard.
This short route takes you through what Nick Selleck feels is one of the region’s most picturesque sections, beginning in Comboyne NSW and passing through rolling open farmlands and beautiful temperate rainforest on gravel roads.
What You’ll Experience
- Temperate rainforest with gorgeous Antarctic Beech trees and Staghorn Ferns
- Spectacular views
- Enjoy a coffee and some great food at Udder Cow Cafe in Comboyne NSW
Rider Notes
- Bike suitability: Big-bike friendly in dry conditions, may be a little slippery when wet
- Surface: Dirt, gravel and some leaf litter
- OK for beginner riders
- Last section after turning off Playfords Road can become overgrown through a tunnel of trees – may have some branches or logs to ride over
- Route finishes on a dead-end track next to a rocky outcrop locals call the “Conglomerates”. Turn around here and return back to Playfords Road to continue your ride.
- Some maps may show the track continuing on towards Swans Crossing campground but it is now closed. You can reach Swans Crossing via McIvers Road.
