All Roads Begin In Rome

Rome. The most ancient of cities. Our tour begins here with the opportunity to explore the wonders of this incredible city. No matter how many times you visit you will always find new things to explore.

Apennine Mountains and Gran Sasso

Running a length of 1,200km down the peninsula of Italy, this mountain range features some unique wide open views that are rare to find in this country. Some peaks reach up over 2,900 metres in height making for some spectacular riding roads with views that tempt you to keep riding. Once we get above the tree line in Gran Sasso National Park we are treated to spectacular panoramas of open sweeping roads nestled in amongst grass covered hillsides.

Puglia

This region has been hot on many tourist “must do” lists for the past few years, and for good reason. The countryside changes as we run south and get into more arid farmland, perfect for growing olives. In fact, our accommodation at a masseria for two nights sits in the middle of an olive grove. We will visit the coastal towns of Monopoli and Polignano a Mare.

Alberobello and Matera

Wow. Just wow! This is likely to be your reaction too when you cast your eyes on Alberbello and Matera. The white-washed stone walls of the trulli houses in Alberobello appear to be straight out of a charming fairytale. Matera lays claim to being the oldest continually inhabited city in the world. Our brains can’t really comprehend it but that dates back to Palaeolithic times (10th millennium BC) or some 11,700 years ago!

Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast needs little introduction for anyone who has researched Italy as a holiday destination. It is the place to be. Steep mountains drop straight into the ocean with a coastal road that is likely to be the most exciting ride you have ever likely experienced! Our hotel is perched right on the cliff with direct access to the gorgeous blue ocean waters. We have three days and nights here to make the most of this beautiful location. La dolce vita indeed!
